Description

Tender and juicy chicken breasts cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker, perfect for meal prep and quick dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker or use a liner.
  2. Pour in about 1/2 to 3/4 cup chicken broth.
  3. Rub chicken breasts with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Place the chicken in the slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
  6. Cook on LOW for about 2 1/2 to 4 hours, checking at 2 hours.
  7. When done, the chicken should be opaque and easy to slice, aiming for 165°F in the thickest part.
  8. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing or shredding.

Notes

Check the chicken early to avoid drying out. Season both sides for best flavor. Store leftovers with a spoonful of cooking liquid for moisture.
