Description

Indulgent fudgy brownies with a rich chocolate flavor and a slightly gooey center, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat immediately after the butter melts.
  5. Stir the granulated sugar into the warm butter until the mixture looks glossy.
  6. Add the eggs to the butter-sugar mixture one at a time and stir until fully incorporated.
  7. Mix in the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
  8. Sift the unsweetened cocoa powder into the wet mixture and fold gently.
  9. Add the all-purpose flour and fold until just combined.
  10. Sprinkle in the salt and baking powder and fold until evenly distributed.
  11. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  12. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, watching for the edges to set while the center remains slightly soft.
  13. Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack.
  14. Cut into squares after the brownies reach room temperature.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, and consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt for extra flavor.
