Description

A cozy and bold chili infused with Bloody Mary flavors, perfect for cold nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup Bloody Mary mix
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a large pot on medium high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Spoon off excess grease if necessary.
  2. Add diced onion and cook for a few minutes until softened, then stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  3. Season with chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika. Stir for about 20 seconds to release the spices’ aroma.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and Bloody Mary mix, along with Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Stir well.
  5. Add the drained beans and bring everything to a gentle bubble.
  6. Simmer on low heat for at least 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt, Bloody Mary mix, or hot sauce to your preference.

Notes

Toppings like shredded cheddar, sour cream, and fresh cilantro enhance the chili. This dish thickens as it sits, so adjust with water or more Bloody Mary mix if necessary.
