A classic and comforting garlic bread recipe featuring a buttery, garlicky spread over crusty bread.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of bread (French or Italian)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves of the bread.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a crispy crust, bake on a preheated baking sheet. For a softer interior, cover with foil while baking.
