Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano


Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Let the yeast mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
  3. Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour.
  5. Mix the ingredients until a rough dough forms.
  6. Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth.
  7. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it.
  8. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until roughly doubled.
  9. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  10. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  11. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
  12. Spread pizza sauce over the dough base.
  13. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  14. Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  15. Sprinkle dried oregano on top.
  16. Bake the pizza for 12 to 15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese bubbles.
  17. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes.
  18. Slice the pizza and serve.
