A rich and creamy New York-style cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and 1/4 cup of sugar.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add the remaining sugar, mixing well.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; mix in vanilla, sour cream, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture into the crust.
- Bake for 1 hour or until set; turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for about 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Serve chilled for clean slices. Top with macerated berries or warm salted caramel for extra flavor.
