Description
Tender and saucy BBQ meatballs cooked slowly in a crockpot, perfect for gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and mix until the ingredients just come together.
- Shape the meat mixture into uniform meatballs about 1 to 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
- Place the meatballs in a single layer in the slow cooker.
- Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the meatballs so each piece gets coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the meatballs reach a safe internal temperature and feel tender.
- Serve the meatballs warm, spooning extra sauce from the slow cooker over each serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider searing the meatballs before placing them in the slow cooker, or adding a splash of vinegar to the sauce at the end.
